- Why are you interested in this network?
- I met Liz at the Sakai conference and she started to tell me all about it.
- How do you like to learn?
- I like to be told or shown exactly what to do in baby steps to achieve a simple goal, then be told where to find more information. Programmers will know this as the standard "hello world" way of learning new technologies.
- How do you deal with change?
- Must admit I like to be "in the groove" - so you could say I try to avoid it. At least sometimes.
- What experience have you had with learning technologies & social media?
- 6 years programming online learning systems. That means I know a fair bit about the technology side of things. As for social media I'm a light user of the recent web 2.0 stuff like Facebook, but have been using email lists for well... a very long time ;-)
- How can we create really enjoyable learning experiences?
- Don't ask me, I'm a techie! But since techies never "don't know" anything - I'll say don't let the technology get in the way. Make the process EASY, comfortable, fun, obvious, etc, even if the content is challenging.
- Anything else you'd like to add about yourself?
- Married with 2 boys, emigrated to Perth in 99, loving life! Starting up a little elearning technology company - Keem Bay Research which might fit quite well with SKIL2 dream!
